Blabbering
Some days when I feel down or lost (like I'm just standing still in my life) and just don't want to go home yet, I would take a longer route home. And when the weather is nice, I walk. I always tell myself and others that eventually will move back to LA but after 8.6years of living here I really doubt I'll be moving back. With all the crazy shit and tourists aside, NYC is a great place to just take a stroll. Walking from midtown to wherever does an awesome job at clearing my mind.
Trek on...
If you ask a lot of people living in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or Bronx they will most likely tell you that they have never been to Staten Island or if they have they probably drove through it on their way to somewhere else. Well for cookbook research sake, I was dragged asked to join Blondie and Brownie on their Staten Island adventure....twice. Staten Island is one crazy place. It's filled with outlets and malls and unicorn diners and pirates.
Someone has a cool or weird sense of yard decorations.
Whirlybird in South Williamsburg (S. 2nd close to Havemeyer St) only serves breakfast tacos. What's better than eating a delicious taco and then washing it down with an iced coffee...while sitting outside? Total bliss.
Why not have your coffee to stay and just relax for a bit.
